Academy Music Group Ltd are owners and operators of live music venues including Shepherds Bush Empire and Brixton Academy. In addition they have Academy venues in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Islington, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Oxford. I was employed by Academy Music Group between June 2002 and July 2009 as IT & New Media Manager. My responsibilities covered all aspects of online activity, designing and developing group and venue Web sites, managing email marketing campaigns and overseeing their IT infrastructure, budget and support. During my time there the company expanded from running three venues to eleven. I left in July 2009 following the successful integration of all Web and IT services into those of Live Nation after they acquired a controlling interest in the company.
